All we need now is the counter tops & sink installed...

We're getting closer :)
Instead of a Lazy Suzanne - had corner drawers built
& love them!

upper cabinets & now lower cabinets in

Island and cabinets in the dinning area...
Casey hung the dinning room light too!

Shot of the whole kitchen and garage door.
Dishwasher, oven and microwave all set into place.
Sooooo close now :)

getting those boxes UP...

Leni delivered many of the cabinets last week... we decided to ask him if he would
consider hanging the upper cabinets now. He came over that day and hung 5 cabinets.
Beautiful Hickory Cabinets

These are the cabinets that are above the cook top & stove.
Casey is installing the microwave.

So wonderful... we're starting to see the full picture.
Casey worked his butt off getting that microwave hooked up...
I think he can do ANYTHING!

These are the upper cabinets next to the dinning area.

Every day a new site...

wall texture - now that it has dried

Casey worked late ripping up the floor
He plans on putting tile in... somewhere between painted walls and cabinet installation

Another picture of the dry wall texture -
Casey hopes to prime and paint today.

The surge is on!

Some more fine masking by Team Dewitt!
Hallway to front door

After a few days of taping, mud, sanding...
These guys set to slapping mud on the walls for a cool texture Casey found.

These are the brushes used to help create the wall texture

Living room all textured...
The mud is still wet so doesn't reveal the real texture

Kitchen ceiling - first step to texturing...
Stomp the brush full of mud on walls & ceiling...
then use trowel to spread it all around.

Tomorrow Casey hopes to apply a coat of primer and maybe the first coat of paint.

We've moved out for a few days - Team Dewitt adopted us.
Thanks again for that too~*

Tidal Wave hits....

emptying the kitchen was only the beginning...

Casey dropped the Sheetrock from the ceiling so he could
put in recessed lighting

Sheetrock going back up

looking good - next steps:
taping, mud, mess, sanding, mess, texture...

Casey decided he wanted to not only texture and paint
the kitchen/dining area, but the little bathroom,
halls and living room as well.

Team Dewitt
They were a great help
(They definitely earned their pizza and diet Dr. Pepper that night!)
Thank you guys ~ hug!
