Cabin - each trip is like a mini vacation!

Arrived at cabin to see the snow had all slide off the roof and blocked our path to the cabin.
Casey pondering best strategy through...

The dogs and I scrambled over and retrieved the shovels.
Casey and I dug toward each other until we opened a path to the cabin.

Lupine happily following Riley through the newly dug path.
The walls of this path were as high as my shoulders.
A lot of snow for March 30th.

A view from inside the cabin looking out toward the back yard.
Snow from roof piled up as high as the windows.

Another view out the window by the front door...

We went for a snowshoe trek on Saturday - followed a creek that flows from the Big Sue
The snow has been melting quickly - as spring is in the air.
This is a picture of a hole in the ice that Lupine fell through into the creek.

Riley... not to be out done! haha - 1 minute later fell through his own hole into the creek.
Casey had to reach in and help pull him up.
Riley popped through the ice again in another location on the trek back.

Photo with the super weird tower house

It was a beautiful and sunny day to be out snowshoeing

Casey and the troops - so much fun!

getting those boxes UP...

Leni delivered many of the cabinets last week... we decided to ask him if he would
consider hanging the upper cabinets now. He came over that day and hung 5 cabinets.
Beautiful Hickory Cabinets

These are the cabinets that are above the cook top & stove.
Casey is installing the microwave.

So wonderful... we're starting to see the full picture.
Casey worked his butt off getting that microwave hooked up...
I think he can do ANYTHING!

These are the upper cabinets next to the dinning area.

Every day a new site...

wall texture - now that it has dried

Casey worked late ripping up the floor
He plans on putting tile in... somewhere between painted walls and cabinet installation

Another picture of the dry wall texture -
Casey hopes to prime and paint today.
